The Caretaker of Secrets sucked me and and spit me out like a spitball shot from the back of the classroom. I felt nearly every single human emotion possible while reading this.
This is a dual timeline women's fiction that takes us through some of life's rawest, ugliest times through the stories of Samantha, 18, and Jane, 69. It's a story of love, heartbreak, abuse and tragedy wrapped up in emotional stories and tied with a little gold bow.
It wasn't until I read the acknowledgements at the end that I realized this story is based on real-life accounts of the author. I still haven't fully absorbed how mind-blowing and complex this novel was, yet so beautifully crafted.
